Corequisite Math Courses

Two students discussing a project

Traditional undergraduate math courses often prove to be a barrier to student success and persistence in STEM. Corequisite courses, offered in parallel to traditional math or science courses, provide additional student support and enhance technical skills needed for more advanced courses. Across the SCIENCE Collaborative, community members are working together to use evidence-based approaches to develop, implement, and assess corequisite courses to support student success. We support educators and institutions seeking to re-envision their math offerings by incorporating these strategies.
