Students as Partners

Student-centered course design requires students’ perspectives. Within the Students as Partners programs across the Collaborative, student partners actively contribute to shaping the learning environment. They pair with faculty members, observe their courses, and provide feedback to faculty on various aspects of the course including syllabi, assignment design and student engagement. Faculty and student partners work together to co-design assignments, improve learning management tools and participate in conversations about course design. The Collaborative helps faculty learn how to integrate student perspectives in ways that strengthen engagement, clarity, and motivation.

"This experience has helped me build my confidence and find my voice as a leader and the value in my perspective and experience as a student. I have been able to find new ways to adapt, think, and learn that have benefited me in every aspect of my life."
